James MacKeown is a discreet, sensitive and modest painter of Irish origin but Norman-French by heart. His constant themes of inspiration, are the sea and the freedom it inspires, the water and its light, the beaches, the views of interiors and exteriors, the children and young women either reading or standing at windows. His world is made of intimacy, delicacy and silence.
