Jean-Pierre Grandi



Jean-Pierre Grandi is the managing partner of Artgentharius. His background demonstrates a substantial expertise in banking and financial professional experience together with a long lasting interest in Fine Art paintings.

Jean-Pierre Grandi started his professional career in audit and consulting business with Pricewaterhouse Coopers SA, international audit firm (10 years), firstly in Paris from 1989 to 1992 and in Geneva from 1992 up to 2000. Serving as Audit Manager, Mr. Grandi was in charge of prestigious mandates through which he kept enlarging his human and technical skills. First rate clients such as Swiss and foreign Multinationals, financial services companies, as well as Family Office and trusts have benefited from his valuable contribution.

While filling a position with Credit Suisse Private Banking, Geneva (3 years) Jean-Pierre Grandi acquired an exceptional expertise in banking operational and organisational processes. He focused specifically on internal control, operational risks and, more broadly on Business Risk Management, both in Switzerland and abroad (France, Italy, Spain and Germany).

In 2003, Jean-Pierre Grandi joined Standard Chartered Private Bank, Geneva (SCB) (previously denominated American Express Bank – AEB). He was mainly in charge of Internal Control and regulatory matters and was additionally appointed as a Corporate Secretary to the Board of Directors. He was promoted in 2007 a Management Member, responsible for Risk Control and the integration and amalgamation of AEB within SCB. Furthermore, Jean-Pierre Grandi was nominated in 2008 as Managing Director of the Monaco branch (Premier Agent Responsable) and was entrusted with its ultimate restructuring and regulatory decommissioning pronounced in June 2010 (Retrait d’Agrément).

A Swiss resident and a Swiss and French national , Jean-Pierre Grandi graduated from University Paris-Dauphine,where he received two 2 Masters' degrees, the first one in Management and Finance and the second one in Economics. His academic credentials also indicate a DESCF certification (technical part of the French Chartered Accountant diploma). He was an active dedicated member of the instructor team at Fund Academy AG in 2008. He gave a series of lectures on the various obligations of a Swiss bank, acting as Swiss representative agent of a UCITS III Luxembourg investment funds.

Artgentharius is a member of the "Groupement de réviseurs bancaires" and of "Chambre France-Suisse pour le Commerce et l’Industrie". Jean-Pierre Grandi is an individual member of the Institute of Internal Auditing Switzerland.

Jean-Pierre Grandi is fluent in both French and English, with solid German fundamentals.
