Julian Taylor

April 23 – 28, 2013

Julian Taylor is a painter of English origin who settled since 1975 in the Périgord, in France. His personal touch to magnify whatever landscape is a never-ending invitation to remember the sweet nostalgia of our tender age, giving the impression to have already seen somewhere all these seascapes, country sides or winter’s day landscapes.

Considered as an acrylics specialist, the artist’s favourite themes are the lighthouses, sailing boats, towboats, trawlers, low tides, winter-snow or spring-like landscapes, always executed with the same sharp and precise drawing. The accuracy of the line is committing anyone to look at the painting with much more attention to discover all its secrets and pictorial details often tinged with humour.

Julian Taylor is simply a painter who is firmly established in the contemporary world of the figurative tradition and who knows how to induce people’s emotion by his sense of naturalism and his delicate observer’s expertise. An artistic message full of humanism. Thank you Julian Taylor!
