Exhibition of François Benoit-Lison

Feb. 28th – Jun. 30th at 28 Rue de Saint-Léger, Geneva

François Benoit-Lison is a painter who currently lives and works in the country of Gex, nearby Geneva. Respectful to great names such as Soulages, Matthieu or Marfaing, the artist takes us into his own abstract and lyrical world, where black color reigns supremely to penetrate into the deep intimacy of souls.

With a perfect mastery of the gesture and the use not only of oil and acrylic but also tar, the artist achieves an incredible harmony between the shades of the painting - made of easy flow and lightness - and the density of the substance.

No need to make a long speech, it is the painter who is the best positioned to summarize the synthesis of his development: The abstraction is his adventure ... the black is his favorite color ... the tar is his substance ... and the oil his delicacy!

The exhibition preview will take place in the presence of the artist on Thursday, February 28th 2019 from 5.30pm onwards. A series of new abstract paintings will be presented to the public on May 2nd, 2019 from 5.30pm onwards.
